Remember sweet baby Layla? I did her newborn pictures a few months back. It seems like it wasn’t that long ago, but this blue eyed doll is almost 10 months old!? Layla was a pleasure to photograph as a newborn and her calm sense hasn’t changed a bit! She didn’t fuss, nor did she even cry! We got some great Christmas shots as well as some very cute giggles. Meet baby Layla a few months older J

Her momma threw on this adorable little ring for a few shots. Little Layle didn't even mind!

Anyone who has visited my blog before knows I am slightly obsessed with baby thighs. I LOVE everything about them! Layla in her Christmas tu-tu surely made her sweet little legs no exception ;)

You can surely see where she gets her baby blues!

After about a perfect hour of shooting, Layle decided we were done :)

On that note, I would like to wish Layla and her family a very Merry First Christmas!

Marie and her boys ;)

As my response to blogging has been a bit untimely… again, this post is not necessarily a preview for this family. As I already have their pictures done, I will contribute this blog as an addition to the group of growing families that I have had the great opportunity to meet and photograph. So here goes nothing ;)
Meet Marie and here two handsome boys! I had these poor guys out of bed pretty early for their session and we walked a path through a local State Park during some pretty frigid temps. At first they were not very fond of the idea of being photographed and I couldn't blame them, but as we warmed up they turned out to be some pretty comical guys and I got some great grins in the process. Here is another “preview” to yet another great family session!

We had some great light as the afternoon sun set into position!

We also shot some senior pics, as this fellow has his high school graduation right around the corner.

As I edited this session I had to laugh as I went through her youngest sons shots. For every regular smile I received, I got a simplistic series of some pretty comical poses and faces.

Finally, her is Marie with her boys :)

Thankful for the simple things in life!

In respect to Thanksgiving tomorrow, I find it only appropriate to post about what I am most thankful for. My wishes and thoughts aren’t anything out of the ordinary, nor am I thankful for anything that most would find peculiar. There are simply two things that come to mind when I think about the past year and what my life has accomplished: the first being the GREAT FAMILIES I have been so blessed to have met and photographed. This I know is pretty simple, but weighing all the stats it is a huge feat as I have started this photographic journey only over a year ago. I will soon be celebrating 50 jobs and I can hardly believe I have come this far in such a short time. So from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOUJ

The second part of thanks is relatively simple as well… my family!

I am thankful for this spunky, stubborn, independent, blue eyed, dancing machine of mine. I am especially thankful for these two pictures of her, as well. If you knew my daughter you would understand, if you don’t, you just need to know she is a typical toddler and holds the attention span of a fly (and I do say that with all the love in my heart).

Here is proof of her "attention span ability"…

During a typical session she would rather look at airplanes…

Play with daddy, but she does have a heart of gold and will stop to see if he is ok after she accidently kicks him a good one to his head ;)

She would rather show affection to her “kitty” instead of my camera… This is the "kitty" in which she demanded be in her pictures or she wasn't taking any!

Or of course jumping is always fun, too…

So, you see now why I am sooo so very thankful for those two good pictures?!

Anyways, I am also so very thankful for her daddy.

Lastly, I am ever so thankful for our peanut due for appearance Mid-March. I just hope he/she is ready for a wild ride with our family :)

See, there is nothing out of the ordinary here! Simple thanks to be given for the simple things in life.

I wish all of you and your families the best holiday!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Davy Family

In following the theme of little boys for the weekend, my afternoon session was with the Davy Family and their two little hams. These little guys had all kinds of energy and our session was filled with laughter! I was still smiling as I went through their shots. They were telling me all kinds of stories and about their favorite candies and movies. To round out this beautiful family they brought along their sweet little lab puppy. It was clear that she is showered with love!

Sporting their favorite team!

I saw a lot of love for mommy and daddy!

Thanks again for contacting me, Taby! I had a blast laughing with your family :)

Sprenkle Family

This weekend I had two great family sessions and the theme was clearly little boys! The Sprenkle Family session was the first of the day and their three little guys were as handsome as could be! They told me all about their Boy Scout ventures and their love for the outdoors. Typically, you would think 3 boys would be a handful, but these three fellows surely proved the stereotype wrong. Although, I would be willing to bet that they can give their mom and a dad a run for their money from time to time ;)

This next shot is one of my favorites and the pose was all Dad's idea!

I got some great smiles from these little men!

Even the little guy was easy to please :)

Thanks for spending the morning with me, Sprenkle Family! I hope you enjoy your preview :)
